Phase 1: Solution Prototyping
Guided by their mentors, students explore and understand key concepts of the embedded system and the design thinking process. They select an occupation to identify a real-life problem to solve. Through ideation, students come up with a solution and then proceed to design and create a prototype. Along the way, students have the opportunity to explore other technologies such as 3D printing and AI.
Phase 2: State-Level Maker Fair & Competition
With their projects completed, students attend state-level Maker fairs organised at universities. Each team of up to three students is given five minutes to pitch and demonstrate their projects to the judges and their peers. The judges will confer gold, silver, and bronze awards to teams. Fifteen teams selected from the gold award category will move on to the National Accelerator Camp.
Phase 3: National Accelerator Camp
The program culminates in a 3-day camp where 15 teams will have the opportunity to be coached by industry professionals. A panel of judges will then choose projects for community adoption. Students will be provided with material and technical support to turn their prototypes into a product.
